Most people seem to think that it’s extremely complicated to get their first website online… You have to deal with hosting, domain names, coding (or hiring coders), and on and on…
The truth is that it really isn’t that difficult to get your website online and running. In fact, you can literally have a website online in about 15 minutes from right now if you wanted to… No programming needed, no hiring coders… In fact, there’s really nothing that technical about it at all.
Watch this quick video and follow along with me as I show you exactly how to get your website online right now. It’s simple.
So it’s really that simple.
1. Create an account with Hostgator (Coupon code “LearnToBlog1” gets you 30% off)
2. Install WordPress through Quickinstall
3. Pick your favorite WordPress theme
4. Start writing your blog posts

Hi Matt – did one of the learn to blog sessions a few weeks ago and thought I`d share what I`ve done so far. Thanks for the great training videos, I would have been lost without them.

Awesome Christine! So glad to see you’re getting results!
Very good video. I’m going to check out the rest of the site and then will register for the free boot camp. I have had a couple of personal websites before but removed them because they were taking up too much of my time and few people were reading my posts. I’m currently on Squidoo, but want to start another website again.
Thanks Angela!
I am a member but having trouble setting up the blog, have to come up with all the categories and subcategories, and really confused about all of the plugins and widgets. Your info is great but I guess when one is 74 yrs. it takes a little more time. Plus finding the professionals to contribute to the blog, then figuring out how to make the money.

Hi Matt, I am just starting and watching the first boot camp video. My domain is registered with another hosting service, Blue Host. It is expiring soon, but is it better to stay there or transfer to Host Gator?
Hi @disqus_POut3bHPvv:disqus. You could do either or. They are owned by the same company. But, if you do decide to move to hostgator, we can get you a discount and help with your setup. Check out this free setup service we have: http://dev.learntoblog.com/lp/free-wordpress-blog-setup
